PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift having four columns capable of reducing a burden of the work required for installation, maintenance and inspection and also reducing the costs by simplifying a lift-driving mechanism of the lift members, decreasing a floor area of the lift, and employing an eccentric shaft driving motor. SOLUTION: A drive motor 25 is installed to an optional side at the bottom of a lift shaft 20; drive-side sprockets 227 and 228, drive chains 245 and 246, and a counter-weight 23 are arranged at an optional side of the lift shaft 20; and the lift driving mechanism for moving up and down a lift frame 3 is concentrated to any particular plane of four planes forming the lift shaft 20.
