PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition that comprises a polylactic acid resin and is excellent in transparency, impact resistance and heat resistance, and a molded article composed of the same. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) a polylactic acid resin, (B) a methacrylic resin and (C) an impact modifier. Preferably, the resin composition comprises (B) at least one methacrylic resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 50,000-450,000, a glass transition temperature of 110°C or higher and a syndiotacticity of at least 40%, (C) the impact modifier comprising a multilayer-structured polymer constituted of a core layer and at least one shell layer covering the same, and (D) a reactive compound containing at least one functional group selected from among glycidyl, acid anhydride, carbodiimide and oxazoline groups.
