PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a meshing element for a rotation-linear motion converting mechanism which can efficiently produce great thrust and reduce machining cost. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a meshing element consisting of a rod and a roller which is equipped with a rod 1 containing a screw part in the outer peripheral surface, a holder member provided to the outer peripheral side of the rod so as to be relatively rotatable and relatively axially movable with respect to the rod and a roller 2 rotatably supported by a holder member, provided with an annular groove crest part meshing with the screw part on the outer peripheral surface and arranged torsionally at a shaft angle more than a lead angle of the screw part with respect to the center shaft of the rod, the meshing element is manufactured through the cutting work, plastic working, casting, powder metallurgical molding or injection molding of the annular groove crest part and screw part so as to form meshing set planes 101, 102 which are parallel to a common normal of a rod shaft 1d and roller shaft 2d and to the rod shaft and make a meshing surface passing through one meshing part on an annular groove side surface pass through all the meshing surfaces.
