PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a protective layer having the sound insulating and heat shielding effect in a roof surface by simple construction work while extremely facilitating inspection and repairing work of a waterproof layer by providing a strong waterproof layer protective structure easily separable from the waterproof layer and easy to restore to an original state. SOLUTION: This waterproof layer protective structure has: a tile board composed of a combination of an edge tile and an all purpose tile and installed on the waterproof layer via a freely attaching-detaching means and a shock absorbing means; a sash bar for locking a tile; and a water communication passage formed between the tile board and the waterproof layer. One end part of the edge tile is formed in a cross-sectional circular arc shape, and the opposed other end part has a cutout part formed on its upper edge. A projection part engaging with the cutout part is formed on one upper edge of a pair of opposed end parts of the all purpose tile, and a cutout part is arranged on the upper edge of the other end. The problem is solved by realizing the waterproof layer protective structure for joining the cutout part and the projection part in the respective tiles via the freely attaching-detaching means and the shock absorbing means.
