PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that in the draining and waterproofing method for conventional steel-plate ditches, there is the danger of water leak due to the insufficient fusion of piled-up waterproof sheets used because special-shaped corner materials are applied, the finished ditch appearance is not good, and since the ditch bottom is sloped, necessary parts is increased in number, and this complicates quality control and increased costs. SOLUTION: In a building having ditches at the balcony and roofs for draining rainwater, a box-shaped steel-plate ditch foundation with a nearly horizontal bottom surface is formed with a drain port provided downstream; a secondary drain pipe I2 is inserted into the drain port and a secondary drain body I1 is connected with the steel-plate ditch foundation; supports D sloped down toward the drain port are placed within the steel-plate ditch foundation; inside sheets E are laid on the supports D; the inside sheets E are covered with a waterproof sheet G; a primary drain pipe H2 is inserted into the secondary drain pipe through the waterproof sheet, supports and insoles on the drain port; and the primary drain pipe body is combined with the waterproof sheet.
