The method involves driving an upper end of an actuating arm (18) of a tilting garage door panel in horizontal translation for exerting a horizontal force on an upper part of the panel so as to move upper rollers (15) in horizontal parts of lateral rails. Fingers (22, 23) integrated with the arm are guided in a guiding piece (17) to utilize the force for vertically moving lower rollers (14) in vertical parts in order to move the panel between open and closed positions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a guiding piece for implementing a door panel moving method (2) a tilting garage door.
