<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable carrying quality over the lapse of time by cleaning paper powder sticking to a resist roller by using a cleaning web. <P>SOLUTION: The resist roller 23 is composed of a metallic resist roller 23a and a rubber resist roller 23b. The cleaning web 23c for cleaning is contacted with a surface of the rubber resist roller 23b. Contact is performed by pressing the cleaning web 23c by using a pressurizing roller 23d. Voltage of inverse polarity of charging polarity of a sticking object such as the paper powder is impressed on the pressurizing roller 23d. The paper powder sticking to the resist roller 23b is cleaned by using the cleaning web 23c, to provide stable cleaning performance over the lapse of time and carrying quality as the resist roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
