Recovery of micro-waxes and paraffins from waste plastic or waste plastic mixtures containing predominantly polyolefins comprises: liquefying the waste at 350-390 deg C under the exclusion of oxygen and cracking; degradation distilling at 400-450 deg C under normal pressure or vacuum; and carrying out the usual paraffin processing steps. The novelty is that the waste plastic (mixture) is conveyed in coarse crushed form from a storage silo into one or more double-walled pipes. The cracked gases produced are fed from the reactor counter currently.
