OPTICAL PICKUP AND OPTICAL DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce local temperature distribution in an optical pickup of an optical disk device.

SOLUTION: An optical pickup 1 mounted in the optical disk device has a light emitting element 2 for emitting the light. A drive circuit substrate controls an emitting state of the light from the light emitting element. The emitted light is led to a designated position for the disk via an optical part 5 by a lens driving device, and the light reflected from the disk is led to a detector. The detector and the light emitting element are mounted in a pickup chassis. A holder with good heat conductance is arranged around circumference of the optical part.
