Double-floor construction, accommodating services - has plinth support faces at unitary level for non adjustable supports

Plinths are erected on a basic floor, each having a support face on which a vertically aligned support element for a top floor is then positioned, in constructing a double floor in a building. The support faces of the plinths (14) are levelled to a given height, so that support elements (15) which are not adjustable for height can be subsequently set up on them. This can involve use of masks held at the required height and filled underneath, pref. with a laterally bounding socket used as shuttering. The plinths can consist of two mutually height-adjustable parts (15,16), with a prefab. rigid support element on top of a pref. curved surface. Support elements do not impede installation of cables and services, and precise level setting is achieved at an initial stage.
