ARRAY SUBSTRATE, COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL HAVING THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate having a polarizing layer of which the surface is flat, a color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal display panel having them.

SOLUTION: The array substrate is equipped with a pixel electrode layer formed on a pixel region which is partitioned into reflection regions and transmission regions, a reflection layer formed on the reflection regions, and a first inner polarizing layer having relatively small thickness corresponding to the reflection region and relatively large thickness corresponding to the transmission region and covering the reflection layer and the pixel electrode layer. The color filter substrate is equipped with a second inner polarizing layer formed on the pixel region and contains the liquid crystal layer in combination with the array substrate. Consequently, both reflective mode characteristics and transmissive mode characteristics are improved by coating the pixel electrode layer and the reflection layer with the inner polarizing layer having small thickness corresponding to the reflection region and large thickness corresponding to the transmission region while fabricating the polarizers with the coating method during the manufacturing process of the array substrate and the color filter substrate.
