<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee service quality, while maintaining security. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device has an encrypting portion 11 which generates a encrypted packet of an IP packet to be sent; a 1st additional information generating portion 12 which adds 1st additional information indicating that the IP packet has been encrypted to the encrypted packet; a 2nd additional information generating portion 13 which adds 2nd additional information indicating that designated communication quality has been requested to the encrypted packet when the IP packet demands a prescribed communication quality; and a transmission portion 14 which transmits the encrypted packet where the 1st and 2nd pieces of added information are added. When the transmitted packet is encrypted and transmitted, a destination option header d4 which is usable to determine the service quality of the packet is added to the encrypted packet to be sent, so that an edge router 2 receiving the transmitted packet is able to correctly determine the service quality of the transmitted packet without possessing cryptographic key, so that communication whose communication quality is guaranteed can be carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
