PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet water sterilization and purification apparatus capable of treating any given amount of water and sterilizing various kinds of germs in natural water or seawater without using a high-output ultraviolet lamp, air, chlorine, or ozone gas, and also without need of removing a quartz tube of the ultraviolet lamp for easy cleaning. SOLUTION: This novel ultraviolet water sterilization and purification apparatus for sterilizing various kinds of germs in natural water, seawater, or spa water by means of the cleaning effect of ultrasonic waves and the sterilizing effect of the ultraviolet rays, mainly comprises a sterilization tank housing containing honeycomb type sterilizing chambers, an ultraviolet irradiation section, and an ultrasonic wave cleaning section. This is easily controlled on a touch-panel console via a sequence control for controlling safety, the lamp lifetime, the amount of ultraviolet irradiation, the amount of the treated water, the power source, and the starting time.
