It is intended to provide PP2A being active from the viewpoint of genetic engineering in large volume and in pure form. There is provided a process for producing a PP2A heterodimer derivative, characterized by comprising simultaneously infecting cultured insect cells with a baculovirus having, inserted therein, cDNA coding for a catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2A type enzyme (PP2A) having a first tag affixed thereto and a baculovirus having, inserted therein, cDNA coding for A-subunit of PP2A having a second tag affixed thereto; incubating the infected mixture; crushing the cultured cells to thereby obtain a crushed cell liquid; and purifying the crushed cell liquid by means of a solid phase carrying a substance capable of binding with the first tag and a solid phase carrying a substance capable of binding with the second tag.
