PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder of a rotary stencil printing machine capable of registering and stacking a large quantity of printed paper without interrupting printing work. SOLUTION: This paper feeder of the rotary stencil printing machine has a paper feeding tray 60 for placing the paper 18, an elevator means 70 for lifting the paper feeding tray, paper feeding means 64 and 66 for supplying the paper 18 placed on the paper feeding tray one by one to a printing machine body 12, a partially lowering means for lowering the paper feeding tray by a predetermined distance smaller than the whole stroke by operating the elevator means for a predetermined short time, and a paper nonexistence detecting means 84 for detecting that the paper is not placed on the paper feeding tray. The partially lowering means operates when the paper nonexistence detecting means detects that the paper 18 is not placed on the paper feeding tray 60 in the operation of the printing machine body 12.
