PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adhesive of abrasive paper with the adhesive from transfer to the sticking surface of a buffer member generated by influences of frictional heat in polishing work in a hand tool polishing a target surface with the abrasive paper. SOLUTION: A polishing hand tool 10 is equipped with a main body 14 having an approximately flat supporting surface 12 and the buffer member 16 having a first surface 30a and an approximately flat sticking surface 34 at the opposite side fixed to the supporting surface 12 of the main body 14. The abrasive paper having an adhesive surface is detachably stuck to the sticking surface 34 of the buffer member 16 through the adhesive surface. To prevent the adhesive of the abrasive paper from transferring to the sticking surface of the buffer member due to the influences of the frictional heat in the polishing work, a plurality of fine recessed parts eliminating the contact area of the sticking surface 34 with the adhesive surface of the adhesive paper are formed on the sticking surface 34.
