PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer requiring less processing time for drying. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with a drying chamber 1 for drying garbage, a stirring means 7 for stirring the garbage, a plurality of lower part temperature detecting means 5 and 6 for detecting the lower part of the drying chamber 1, A plurality of the detecting means 5 and 6 are allocated at different heights from each other, wherein the volume of garbage is forecasted according to the temperature difference detected by the plurality of the lower temperature detecting means 5 and 6. Thus, the processing time for drying can be shortened by adjusting the stirring time; the stirring time by the stirring means 7 is prolonged in case of large volume and the stirring time by the stirring means 7 is shortened in case of small volume.
