PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide packaged green tea beverage containing catechins with high biological functionality at high concentration and at the same time sustaining lucidness, having excellent flavor and quality from a point of palatability and suitable especially for sales by warming. SOLUTION: The packaged green tea beverage contains green tea extract obtained by extracting green tea leaves, and 380 mg/L-1,500 mg/L of the total amount of epigallocatechin gallate and gallocatechin gallate, and 20 mg/L-120 mg/L of glutamic acid.
