A heating device has a body having an opening, a generation section for generating an electromagnetic wave for heating, a door for putting in and taking out an object to be heated, a reading section, and a shield section. The generation section irradiates the inside of the body with the electromagnetic wave. The door covers the opening of the body. The reading section reads information included in a radio tag attached to the object to be heated. When the door is closed, the shield section shields the reading section from the magnetic wave from the generation section, and when the door is opened, releases the shielding to the reading section.
