The cover for the tight sealing of a device comprises at least one elastomer component(20) for laying upon a locating face of the device, and a cap-like component(30) connected to the elastomer section. The cap-like component is constructed from sound insulating material which may be plastic, polyamide-6, or a particle-like admixture of high density material. The density of the aforesaid material is about 1.9 to 3.0 kg/dm3. The cover is constructed a cylinder head cover for an internal combustion engine.
