<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward collision load detection device for a vehicle which favorably detects a collision load occurred at the parts of a bumper by a simple, practical structure. <P>SOLUTION: By placing collision load sensors 1, 2 between the front end face of a pair of side members 9, 10 and the rear end face of a bumper reinforce 7, a backward collision load occurred at the parts along the lateral direction of a bumper cover 8 can be favorably detected only by the collision load sensors 1, 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
