PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing apparatus which surely prevents a specific document from being illegally copied, using simple and inexpensive means. SOLUTION: It is determined whether color code data outputted from a color detection part are matched with preset color code data corresponding to a background color or a specific mark of a specific document, and if the outputted color code data are matched with the preset color code data, the document is judged as a specific document of which unapproved copying is to be prohibited.
