PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having a superior harmful arthropod controlling effect. SOLUTION: The pyrazole compound expressed by formula (a) is useful as an effective component of an agent for controlling a harmful arthropod. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>shows a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, or a trifluolomethyl group; R<SP>2</SP>shows a 1-4C alkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>shows a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group or the like; R<SP>4</SP>and R<SP>5</SP>show each a halogen atom, a 1-3C alkyl group or the like; and m and n show each an integer of 0-4. R<SP>6</SP>and R<SP>7</SP>are each the same or different and show each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a methyl group; Q shows a single bond, -C(=O)-, -N(R<SP>21</SP>)-, -A<SP>1</SP>-O-, -A<SP>2</SP>-S-, -A<SP>3</SP>-N(R<SP>22</SP>)-, -O-A<SP>4</SP>-, -S-A<SP>5</SP>-, -N(R<SP>23</SP>)-A<SP>6</SP>or -A<SP>7</SP>-A<SP>8</SP>; R<SP>21</SP>, R<SP>22</SP>, and R<SP>23</SP>show each a hydrogen atom or a 1-3C alkyl group; A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP>, A<SP>3</SP>, A<SP>4</SP>, A<SP>5</SP>, A<SP>6</SP>, A<SP>7</SP>and A<SP>8</SP>show each a 1-5C alkylidene.
