PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "digital television broadcast receiving apparatus" which can select a program preferentially by considering whether a display during running is regulated, and whether it is a televiewer participating type program. SOLUTION: In an on-vehicle digital TV apparatus, the received field strength of each channel is detected, and whether or not the TV program under broadcasting is the televiewer participating type program is identified based on the program array information included in the received TV broadcast signal. In the case of selecting the program when it is the on-vehicle TV apparatus in which a display under running is not specified, it controls to receive the program of the televiewer participating type preferentially. When it is the on-vehicle TV apparatus in which the display during running is specified, it is controlled so that the program other than the televiewer participating type may be received preferentially.
