ONCOMING VEHICLE APPROACH DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oncoming vehicle approach display system which is arranged at a roadside of a road such as a curve of poor visibility to notify a driver of the existence of an oncoming vehicle in order to suppress power consumption to a very small amount and make expense to arrange the system very inexpensive. SOLUTION: This oncoming vehicle approach display system to be provided at a road of poor visibility to display the approach of an oncoming vehicle comprises a thermotype sensor consisting of first and second thermoheads to be arranged the upstream side and downstream side of the road in order to detect a vehicle traveling on the road, a control means for judging the existence of an oncoming vehicle on the basis of a detection signal from the thermotype sensor and generating a control signal that corresponds to the number of oncoming vehicles and/or the sizes of the oncoming vehicles, and a displaying means for changing a display state on the basis of the control signal.
