PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of classifying lips based on shape characteristics and a lip classification map composed of coordinates made based on the classification method so as to use them as a method of putting makeup on the lips, for cosmetic counseling for customers, or for training for cosmetic consultants or cosmetologists. SOLUTION: The classification method comprises a first classification index using sizes and shapes of the lips on full faces, and a second classification index using three-dimensional shapes of the lips. The classification map comprises a first coordinate axis indicating degrees of the first classification index, and a second coordinate axis indicating degrees of the second classification index, and is formed into coordinates of the first and second orthogonal coordinate axes.
