<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly select a roll paper to be printed corresponding to the size of an image target. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading section 15b of a manuscript reading mechanism 15 reads a manuscript image set to a manuscript setting section 15a to output the image data obtained by enlarging/reducing the manuscript image read according to a preliminarily set magnification relative to each side of the graphics displayed by the image. A CPU 11 decides the type of a roll paper wherein an enlarged/reduced image of a type of roll papers preliminarily set as a candidate is entirely stored based on the image data from the manuscript reading mechanism 15 and margins obtained after cutting-out and printing become the least, and also decides the length of the roll paper.
