PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem where an IC card and a bar code are to be put over in an automatic vending machine having functions to identify the IC card and bar code, and they are not easily put over since an operating section arranged on a vertical surface located at a lower section of an article display chamber 3 of a door 1 is arranged on a location to be looked down. SOLUTION: The automatic vending machine provides a coin inlet 6, a return lever 7, and the operating section such as an IC card identification section 12 and a bar code identification section 13 are arranged at a lower part of the article display chamber 3. The operating section can be easily seen since a face for arranging the operating section has an angle to a door surface and projects out to a slant direction and the operating section is located on a position facing the eyes of a purchaser, and the IC card and bar code can be easily put over the operating section.
