Disclosed is the use of a furnish composition in the manufacture of a cigarette treatment paper for reducing sidestream smoke emitted from a burning cigarette, the furnish composition comprising in combination, an oxygen storage and donor metal oxide oxidation catalyst, such as cerium oxide, and an essentially non-combustible finely divided porous particulate adjunct, such as a zeolite. Optionally a processing aid such as zirconium fibres or zirconium/cerium fibres may also be included. (62) Divided Out of 524598
