A safety garment (see Fig 5) made from a number of panels formed and arranged to break-away from one another in the event that the garment or part of the garment becomes snagged or caught. The garment is formed from at least front and back panels adjoined to one another via a selectively disengageable means such as hook and loop fasteners, snap fasteners, re-attachable adhesive patches and the like.
