An isolated human monoclonal antibody, or an antigen-binding portion, that specifically binds to human dendritic cells which induces cytokine release and thus modulates the dendritic cells. This antibody can be used in the manufacture of a medicament to induce or enhance an immune response or to treat or prevent an autoimmune disease, a graft verses host disease or to inhibit tumor growth.
