PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyor device preventing conveyed objects such as sludge from leaking or falling from a conveying belt, without decreasing the arrangement pitch of belt-supporting rollers. SOLUTION: An auxiliary roller unit 20 is installed between adjacent roller units 3 of the belt conveyor 1, and carrier rollers 21 of the auxiliary roller unit 20 support the conveying belt 10, allowing conveyed objects such as sludge to be dropped on the conveying belt 10. The auxiliary roller unit 20 is provided with a plurality of carrier rollers 21 and a roller supporting body 22 that rotatably supports the plurality of carrier rollers 21, and a pair of auxiliary roller units 20 are installed on a mounting base 23 with the distance between the pair of units changeable.
