Rubber composition vulcanizable with sulfur contains (phr=parts by wt. relative to the total parts by wt. of rubber in the composition): (1) a diene rubber with polar groups (5-100); (2) at least one further diene rubber (0-95); (3) silicic acid (5-105); (4) carbon black (0-80); and (5) at least one non-aromatic polar substance with up to 22 C atoms. A new rubber composition vulcanizable with sulfur contains (phr = parts by wt. relative to the total parts by wt. of rubber in the composition): (1) a diene rubber with polar groups (5-100); (2) at least one further diene rubber (0-95); (3) silicic acid (5-105); (4) carbon black (0-80); and (5) at least one non-aromatic polar substance with up to 22 C atoms, and based exclusively on C, H, and O, having at least one region with at least one chemically bonded C atom, an OH group and at least one further oxygen containing group, where the OH group and the extra oxygen containing group are separated by no more than 3 positions along the molecular chain. An Independent claim is included for tires with treads containing a sulfur vulcanizable rubber composition. |
