摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident caused by use of an unregulated product or the like by conducting certification based on an encryption ID of a battery pack and the ID of the application apparatus. SOLUTION: A host computer 10 of an application apparatus maker creates the encryption ID. The encryption ID is written in an EEPROM 25 in the battery pack 13. The ID and a composite key are written in an EEPROM 27 in the application apparatus 14. The application apparatus 14 reads out an ID code stored in the EEPROM 25 in the battery pack 13 and decodes it with the decoding key stored in the EEPROM 27 in the application apparatus. Certification for confirming whether the battery pack 13 is the regular product or not is conducted by using the ID of the decoded battery pack 13 and the ID of the application apparatus.
