PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable control of an imaging operation without causing an unnecessary image by taking into account the usability of an operator. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes: a step S203 of setting an imaging disabled range by a lens unit; a step S206 of detecting a turning position of the lens unit with respect to an apparatus main body; and a step S208 of inhibiting imaging operations using the lens unit when the detected turning position is within the imaging disabled range setting.
