PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic plate bending method capable of easily performing the bending, and shortening the chamfering time to be performed after the bending, a metallic plate bending structure thereof, and a top plate therefor. SOLUTION: The metallic plate bending method comprises a method of forming a recessed groove 2 which is recessed around the folding line, and rectangular in section while a groove bottom face forms a plane parallel to a first surface of a metallic plate on the first surface 1a of the metallic plate 1 with the folding line being fixed thereto, a step of arranging a bend-supporting point 60a on both two strip-shaped areas which are parallel to the folding line at the same distance from the folding line out of a second surface 1b opposite to the first surface, and folding a plate portion of the metallic plate forming an outer portion of an area held between the two strip-shaped area to the second surface side with both bend-supporting points as starting points, a step of grinding the recessed groove so that the recessed groove of the folded metallic plate so that a corner portion in which the recessed groove of the folded metallic plate is developed forms a flat surface, and a step of performing the surface treatment of the first surface of the folded metallic plate including the ground surface, and a chamfered portion is formed by performing the steps of the method in this order.
