PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw type prosthetic hip joint socket which has an arbitrary screw tooth and screw pitch which can be processed by lathe processing for a short time by programming. SOLUTION: A thread which composes thread blades 2 and 3 and is tapered toward the head is provided on the surface of a covering body with a outline form of a spherical shape or the like. Either of thread blades is angled with respect to the pole of a socket. The thread blades 2 and 3 have regular or variable pitches.
