<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio-controlled timepiece which can perform time correction, even under poor reception of a standard time signal and reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The radio-controlled timepiece comprises an internal timepiece; an AM radio receiving circuit 1150 for receiving airwaves, including a time signal around a predetermined time such as close to on the hour; a standard radio wave signal receiving circuit 1130 for receiving a standard radio wave signal including the standard time signal; and a control circuit 14 which, on the basis of the time signal received by the AM radio receiving circuit 1150, corrects the time information measured by the internal timepiece, performs reception timing control for allowing the standard radio wave signal receiving circuit 1130 for receiving the preset time information, other than second information and minute information which can be corrected by the time signal out of the standard time signal, such as hour information and daylight saving time information, when a preset time is reached, and corrects the time information measured by the internal timepiece according to the time information received by the standard radio wave signal receiving circuit 1130. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
