PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device ensuring stable braking performance, and having a high vehicle mounting property, while abolishing an accumulator. SOLUTION: In a brake control device equipped with a manual brake oil passage and performing a brake-by-wire control, a pump passage having a pump as a hydraulic pressure supply source, connecting the pump and the manual brake oil passage and leading brake fluid discharged from the pump in the manual brake oil passage; a back-flow preventing means disposed in the pump passage, and permitting only brake fluid flow from the pump to a wheel cylinder; and a normal open valve disposed in the pump passage between the back-flow preventing means and the manual brake oil passage, and opening the pump passage in a communicating state at the time of non-driving state are provided. A shut valve opening the manual brake oil passage into the communicating state at the time of fail is disposed in the manual break oil passage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
