<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting layer device having a point light source as a light source to give high brightness and high light collection efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting layer device has a light outgoing end plane 104, a light conducting member 101 formed with a first light entering plane 105 and a second light entering plane 106 having a common edge to form the light outgoing end plane 104, and a plurality of light emission diodes 102 and 103 disposed on the first light entering plane 105 and the second light entering plane 106. The common edge of the first light entering plane 105 and the light outgoing end plane 104 is different from that of the light outgoing end plane 104 and the second light entering plane 106.
