<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for securing a balancer to a movable member by which the balancer can surely be secured to a fitting hole formed in a movable member of a keyboard device. <P>SOLUTION: The balancer 12 is constituted by forming a plurality of engagement projection portions 15 on the peripheral surface of a columnar balancer body and forming a hexagonal hole portion 16 which axially extends in an end surface of the balancer body. After the balancer 12 is force-fitted into the fitting hole 11a formed in the balancer body 11, a hexagonal wrench is inserted into the hole portion 16 of the balancer 12 and rotated to rotate the balancer 12 orthogonally to the axis of the fitting hole 11a.
