PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal device capable of enhancing supporting rigidity of a shaft body although a differential exhaust gas seal is provided. SOLUTION: In the seal device 10, since the differential exhaust gas seal is arranged inside a housing 2, a distance from the housing 2 to an outer bearing 12a can be reduced. Therefore, a span from an inner bearing 12a to a tip of a rotational shaft 3 can be suppressed, and radial rigidity of the rotational shaft 3 can be enhanced. In an opening 2a of the housing 2, when one housing 12a is arranged in the vicinity of an inner end of the first opening 2a and the other bearing 12a is arranged in the vicinity of an outer end of the first opening 2a, the span between the bearings 2a can be extended and the rotational shaft 3 can be supported by the both bearings 2a. As a result, inclination rigidity of the rotational shaft 3 can be also enhanced. Moreover, since protrusion of the seal device 10 from the wall face of the housing 2 can be suppressed, this enables a compact structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
