PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for attenuating load of catching fragments on a sump strainer or a substituting sump strainer. SOLUTION: A flooring system for shutting out fragments includes a plurality of floor tiles (10) each comprising a plurality of tube frames (100) and a perforated top face (200) placed on the tube frames and shutting out fragments. The floor tiles may each include a plurality of the tube frames arranged in lines to constitute distributed suction zones for allowing inflow of a fluid into the interior of the tile and shutting out and catching fragments. A distribution path for the flow of the fluid reaching a transition plenum (20) can be formed in the inside of the tile of the flooring system.
