PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight sun visor which is mounted to a driver's seat or the like of a vehicle, has a sub-plate for enlarging light shielding area, and enhances light shielding property for the sunbeam or the like from the lateral or oblique direction. SOLUTION: The sun visor 10 is equipped with a sun visor body 20, the slidable sub-plate 40 which is slidably mounted to the sun visor body 20 through an auxiliary visor 30, and a spring 50 energizing the sub-plate 40 in the delivery direction. The spring 50 makes the middle part of the spring wire rod a bottom 51, bends both arms parts 54 at bent parts 52 and raises them obliquely upward, and forms the intersection part 55 in the middle. The bottom 51 is formed to bend toward the intersection part 55, the bent parts 52 extend along the bottom 51, have the folded parts 53 rising obliquely upward, and circular arc-like bent parts 56 are formed on both ends of the both arms parts 54.
