<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate jam processing without increasing the winding amount of paper round a roller by recognizing a winding state when turning on a power source next even if the power source is turned off in a state where the winding is detected. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a winding jam detection means for detecting that the paper is wound round the roller of an attachable/detachable paper conveying unit, a non-volatile memory, a unit detection means for detecting the attachment/detachment of the unit, a holding means for holding the attachment/detachment thereof and a release means for releasing the holding means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
