PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device for digital broadcasts which is connected to a solar power generation system and can receive and transmit information on an installation site that the solar power generation system requires to efficiently operate to the solar power generation system. SOLUTION: A CPU 6 acquires the present time from a data broadcasting channel (e.g. BS700ch). Further, the CPU 6 performs retrieval from a postal code/latitude and longitude database 72 based upon a postal code as setting information of this device to obtain latitude and longitude. Further, the CPU 6 acquires local weather forecasting data based upon the postal code. The acquired present time, latitude and longitude, and local weather forecasting data are transmitted to the solar power generation system 20 through Port10.
