PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a tissue elasticity image in real time at diagnosis. SOLUTION: An ultrasonograph is equipped with a tomogram construction means for constructing a tomogram by transmitting ultrasound to a subject from a probe and receiving reflected echo signals corresponding to the transmission of the ultrasound, an elasticity image construction means for constructing the tissue elasticity image by acquiring the strain amount through measuring displacement of the living tissues of the subject based on the reflected echo signals, and a display means for displaying the tomogram and the tissue elasticity image. The elasticity image construction means divides an imaging region corresponding to the tomogram into a plurality of regions, and constructs the tissue elasticity image by performing parallel processing on each division. In other word, the tissue elasticity image is calculated in real time by using a plurality of arithmetic cores and performing parallel arithmetic in the ultrasonograph having the function of displaying the tissue elasticity images.
