PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical switch which reduces crosstalk. SOLUTION: In the optical switch in which transmission paths of an optical signal are switched between each other with refractive index variation, an optical waveguide layer on which an optical waveguide to make the optical signal incident from one side, be branched into two signals halfway, and be emitted, and reflection diffusion grooves which are portions other than the optical waveguide in the optical waveguide layer, and besides formed in the vicinity of a branching portion of the optical waveguide and in a direction intersecting a propagating direction of the optical signal, are arranged.
