PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for attaining highly precise correction while reducing a user workload in correcting erroneously recognized characters by grouping end batch correctable erroneously recognized character group even when any erroneously recognized character is generated in such a status that the character quality of original image data is deteriorated, or that the original image data are configured of a plurality of formats. SOLUTION: Characters whose scores are predetermined scores or less are grouped for each of characters whose character codes are identical, and when an instruction to correct the character codes is inputted for one character in the grouped character group, all the character codes in the group to which one character is belonging are changed according to the instruction (S105).
