A light emitting device and a display device using the same are provided to enhance beam uniformity outputted from the light emitting device by minimizing a non-light emitting area thereof using a beam spreading member. A light emitting device includes first and second substrates(10,12), an electron emitting unit(100), and a light emitting unit(110). The first and second substrates are formed opposite to each other. The electron emitting unit is formed on the first substrate. The light emitting unit formed on the second substrate radiates beams. By colliding electron beams radiated from the electron emitting unit with the light emitting unit, a light emitting area for emitting beams is formed. The light emitting unit includes a beam spreading member. The beam spreading member disposed in a non-light emitting area except the light emitting area spreads the electron beams.
